Our second GARDEN ART SALE will be held October 7th and 8th. There will be four mosaic artists showing their work at Goose Cottage in Alameda. I started making garden art when I changed my garden to succulents in order to save on water. I find succulents to be unique and beautiful, but I missed the color that flowers brought to my garden in spring and summer. Now with my mosaics I have color in my garden all year. I began to notice that many other gardeners were changing to succulents as well and that prompted our first GARDEN ART SALE last June. It was extremely successful and those who came have been asking for more. Now you will be able to see our work twice a year.
Following is some of the work you will be able to purchase from our artists.
Eduardo showed his large ‘statement’ pots in our first show and they were well received. They are perfect for an entryway, or where you want to showcase a spectacular plant.
Suzanne can be counted on to create something colorful, whimsical, and just plain beautiful. We always look forward to each new piece of her exceptional work.
Ron is new to our group and everyone is in love with his birdhouses. He makes the sturdy birdhouses and then mosaics them. He has trouble saying ‘No, they are for our Garden Art Sale” because everyone that sees them wants one.
With me you never know what you will see. I’m inspired by whatever I find, like the 18 inch Sun piece which was crying for color, or when I find a pot what will work for one of my flower pot heads. For this show I have flower pot heads in different shapes, sizes, and prices for you to choose from. Faces are the most fun for me to make.
REMEMBER – SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7TH AND 8TH AT GOOSE COTTAGE, 1610 MINTURN STREET IN ALAMEDA. WE’LL BE HERE FROM 10:00 TO 4:00. WE DO HOPE YOU CAN STOP BY.
