ALL ABOUT MOSAICS

It’s been almost 2 years since SUZANNE DURAN,  EDUARDO DURAN and I discovered the wonderful world of mosaics.  We attend a workshop together each week and though the work is often hard, the process long and the materials expensive, we can’t seem to stop. This months blog is all about our mosaic art.  We are sharing with you because we need to make room for more work.  This is only a sampling of what you will see at our sale.

EDUARDO DURAN

Eddy joined our mosaic group after he saw how much fun we were having, and I think he’ll be with us for a long time. His work is mathematical and precise and he enjoys working on large pots.

IF ALL GOES WELL, THE GOLD POT WILL BE FINISHED IN TIME FOR OUR SHOW.

SUZANNE DURAN

Suzanne is a multi-talented artist who paints and makes quilts.  Her color sense is perfect and everyone in our group has become dependent on her to choose the right color grout, or to add the right color glass as a finishing touch to their piece.

  1. Went to the show yesterday. It was a beautiful sunny day and perfect for viewing the glass mosaics! Not to mention the fact that they are installed in Wanda’s lovely garden.
Photos can’t capture the colors and the play of the light that is there when you see these in person. Truly breathtaking!
